As a family business, we strive for long-term success. Since its foundation, ninka has proven to be successful while acting sustainably. We consider sustainability a key success factor.
We follow a holistic sustainability approach that goes beyond the important environmental aspects. As a firm, we also feel committed to act sustainably towards our customers, business partners, employees and society in general.
Fairness, quality, innovation, resource consciousness, equal chances, diversity, and employee development are important for us at ninka. Our core values are written down and specified in our ethics and complicance charter.
Products
Our products are designed for resource efficiency. During the development phase, we already consider the recycling potential, the production efficiency, and product quality standards. In addition, we continuously optimize our existing products - leading to an increasing use of recycling material.

Production and Location
Through its intensive energy and environmental management, ninka has recently improved its environmental performance significantly. In the last 10 years, ninka has reduced the CO2 emissions per ton of material produced by 75%, reduced the use of water by 45% and the amount of solvent-based paint by 33%.
The location in Bad Salzuflen has been continuously developed sustainably. After the investment into an energy-efficient office building and a rooftop solar panel system, a new parking garage with electric charging stations has been built recently.
Our Energy and Environmental Management satisfies auditors and is certified according to DIN EN ISO 50001 and 14001.
Our path to reducing CO₂ emissions
We acknowledge our responsibility for the environment. We have set ourselves the target of operating our Bad Salzuflen site with minimal CO₂ emissions by 2030.
Our reduction pathways are scientifically sound and have been officially validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). We measure our greenhouse gas emissions through an annual carbon footprint assessment. We disclose our specific, measurable action plan and our annual progress in a transparent manner.
In dialogue with the other members of the climate initiative of the chambers of industry and commerce in Ostwestfalen-Lippe we try to reach our goal as soon as possible.
